Whats the best haircut for a guy with short hair and a diamond shaped face?

Im 14 and I haved tried hundreds of hairstyles but I cant seem to get the right for me. Please dont give me a website of hairstyles give me your oppinion!Whats the best haircut for a guy with short hair and a diamond shaped face?
Here is what L.S.Trusty recommends:

';Diamond: The diamond face is wide at the eyes and cheekbones and narrow at the forehead and chin. Its oblique jawbones taper sharply to a pointed chin. Minimize the top hair and maximize the hair at the sides. A low side part is recommended.

L.S. Trusty, ';The Art and Science of Barbering'; 8th ed, pg 131.

http://a.imagehost.org/0619/f_TrustyFace鈥?/a>

I will add that he was referring to above the ear barber shop styles when he wrote the above. I will also add that he means to maximize the hair at the upper sides not the entire sides since that would only reflect the diamond shape. The idea behind male face and skull shape analysis with respect to choosing a style is to determine where to maximize/minimize the hair in various parts of the head to try and create the illusion of the perfect oval face shape with a more masculine boxy than feminine rounded skull shape. And when Trusty states a low side part he doesn't really mean low, he means a regular side part as opposed to a higher than regular side part.

Good Luck!

  • Would getting a haircut make my hair stay straighter longer?

My hair is just below my shoulders and even when I straighten it, a few hours later it's wavy. Would getting my hair cut and thinned out make it stay straight?Would getting a haircut make my hair stay straighter longer?
Im not sure but i dont think it would. It depends on your hair type I guess.

Can scalp start itching if you havent had a haircut in a while?

like could your scalp bcome unhealthy if it hasnt been cute in 8 monthsCan scalp start itching if you havent had a haircut in a while?
Your scalp shouldn't itch due to the length of your hair or time since you've had a haircut, but it could for other reasons. Does your scalp usually feel better after a haircut? If so, they might be using a shampoo that works good with your skin...and it could also be you aren't scrubbing your head well enough when you wash your hair. Make sure your really massage the shampoo into the scalp. I would recommend a product like Nutragena (sp?) which helps with flakes and itching. You could have regular dandruff, or a condition like sebborhic eczema, which causes flaking and itching. Go ahead and switch shampoos, and if the itching continues, see a dermatologist. Can scalp start itching if you havent had a haircut in a while?
Sounds more like a skin problem to me. Take it from someone who knows. The best thing you can do right now is to get a medicated shampoo like Denorex or Selsun Blue. Use that for a while since it sounds like you have some skin issues. Check with a professional stylist to see what you should do after that. Sounds like you have longer hair, but the length shouldn't cause your head to itch. If it's greasy, there might be some repercussions from that.
I dont think it's due to not having a haircut... unless it hasnt been washed. I think itchy scalp is usually due to it being dry. I would suggest that you wash it with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
No the ends of your hair does not affect the scalp, unless you had your head shaved and as your was growing back in it might itch but not after 8 months.

What is a Good/Popular shorter haircut for teenage guys?

I'm really tired of my long hair and I want a short haircut. I've never cut my hair short so I don't know what to tell the stylist when I go tmw. So any suggestions/tips for a shorter haircut style would be nice.

Thanks. What is a Good/Popular shorter haircut for teenage guys?
I agree :) Long hair on guys needs to be gone and leave the locks for the ladies! :)

Depends on you for the hair style. Some people look good with spikey hair, some with buzzed some with it just gelld. :)

How much does it cost to get a haircut in the Philippines?

    In Philippine Peso please.

I'm getting a haircut there, I'm going to my homeland(Philippines) on June 4th! %26lt;33How much does it cost to get a haircut in the Philippines?
You could get a regular barber cut for about P50. If you want to look good you could go to a nice place like Bench Fix and get a haircut for about P250 (washed hair, haircut, and style).

If you want a top notch haircut then you could pay around P450 ($9) and get a celebrity type hairstyle with a wash, haircut and style. P450 is a lot cheaper than a regular barber cut ($15) in the US.

Of course a really great salon cut in the US will cost you $50 so P450 ($9) is a bargain in the Philippines compared to the US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How much does it cost to get a haircut in the Philippines?
Cheapest ones, from barbers or beauty salons along the streets will cost 30-50 pesos.

The high-end ones usually located in malls, like Ricky Reyes, will cost you 100-500 pesos. But this comes complete with shampoo, back, head or arm massages and sometimes even scalp treatment. In USA, this will cost you hundreds of dollars, with $20 on haircut alone.
It depends on where you want to have your haircut done.

There are shops who will only charge you Php50.

Most salons in the mall will charge you an average of Php300 - Php400. I had my haircut done by Bench Fix just last month and it cost me Php350.

In upscale salons, it will cost you around Php700. In 2007, I had my haircut done in Manila Peninsula's salon and it cost me Php750. They offered a refreshing drink though.

By the way, the norm is that aside from the haircut fee, you have to give them a tip as well.
I go to Bruno's Barbershop they charge it at 180.

Before I'm getting a haircut at news barbers and GQ they 100 and 90 respectively.

All of these btw, are in malls.
Php30 is the cheapest if you get a cut at the local barbershop. More expensive in brand-name salons, but of course you get more pampered. Ask if they have special discounts for students.
Depends where you're gonna get your haircut. Some, only 40php, other salons may charge you 100-200 for a haircut, but these salons are quite popular. There could be more expensive ones and cheaper ones.
    40 pesos

    around 150 - 200 pesos inside malls
About 200-300 hundred in most malls. I was a little freaked out by the head massage, I was not expecting it. You may like it.
    It depends.

There are cheap salons, usually it cost Php 30 - 50 but if you go to salons like Ricky Reyes, Propaganda, Cielo and etc. it cost Php 100+ and up.
    like $1.50
For men, the haircut costs Php 40.00 Im not sure about the women :D
if you go to like high end salon, about 500 pesos. my aunt has a salon i think she charge 45 pesos with style

How hard is it to give yourself a haircut?

Im getting bored of just having to pay 15 dollars for a simple buzz cut I can probly do at home.

How hard would it be just to give yourself a buzzcut at home with a haircutting kit?

I usally cut it with a number one.How hard is it to give yourself a haircut?
The difficult part that makes the cut look professional is designing the edge and tapering it to the skin at the nape, which is not going to happen with a self cut home haircut. Most guys suit a short pomp style-crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut- more than a butch so if one goes to a barber and he charges the same regardless of style, it's a good idea to experiment with other short buzzed styles. A #1 butch can be difficult with home clippers because the scalp can gather between the widely set teeth of a clipper guard. This will leave the hair randomly longer or shorter and the haircut will look splotchy and uneven. A barber does not use clipper guards for a haircut this short but a #1A rotary blade. Blades have very closely set teeth and the scalp does not gather between the teeth. For a home butch cut it is safer not to go shorter than #4 on top and #2 on the back/sides. Here is the general technique. With a butch cut, the upper sides and top are cut the same length.

1)Start at the right sideburn with the #4 guard on the clipper. Guide the clipper up the side of the head till it runs off as the skull curves to the top. Continue to the mid back and then do the same starting at the left sideburn.

    2) Place the #3 clipper guard on the clipper and again start at the right sideburn and work to the middle back. Guide the clipper up the side and back of the head to a point about and inch below where the side curves to the top. Arc the clipper out of the hair to achieve a taper between the two lengths. Do the same starting at the left sideburn and working around to the middle of the back.

    3) Place the #2 clipper guard on the clipper and again start at the right sideburn and work to the middle back. Guide the clipper up the side and back of the head to a point a little above the top of the ear and start to arc it out of the hair to create a taper between the #3 cut hair and the #2 cut hair. Arc the clipper out of the hair to achieve a taper between the two lengths. Do the same starting at the left sideburn and working around to the middle of the back.

4)Put the #4 guard back on the clipper and working from the front hairline cut, to the back of the crown. Repeat till the entire top is cut.

    5) Trim the sideburns off at the point where the ear cartilage attaches to the skull. Sideburns should be at this length:

    http://a.imagehost.org/0334/butchclassic…

    6) Wash and dry hair.

    7) Barely dip fingertips in a jar of krew comb or a traditional butch wax like lucky tiger cru butch, or any of the wide variety of control waxes presently available.

    8) Transfer wax to palms.

    9) Smooth wax over the top of the hair.

    http://a.imagehost.org/0203/fmaxfactorcr…

10)Use a boar's bristle military brush or a butch comb to brush hair back off the forehead.

    short ivy league:

    http://www.gstatic.com/hostedimg/3b4b3c0…

Some barbers describe an ivy league as a crew cut just long enough to be parted and combed to the side, if so desired. An ivy league can also be worn with the hair brushed up off the forehead to form the short pomp front, or with the short bangs brushed down on the forehead like a forward brush cut.

I would not recommend going shorter than #4 on top with a #3, #2 taper on the back/sides at first. In a few haircuts, as skill develops, go shorter if one wishes.

I cut my hair for the first time (since I was 10 years old) and it was better than 90% of the cuts I usually get. I just started at the top, with the 1'; setting, I did the back and sides with the 1/2'; setting, then I blended with the 3/4'; at sort of a 45 degree angle.

Honestly it going to be very difficult and u need to be an expect before you can have your hair cut all by yourself.Besides you can always go for the cheaper hair cut or go to a saloon where bills are reasonable

Depends on how good you are with a pair of scissors. When I was 12 I gave myself a haircut that honestly didn't look too bad at all. It was when my mom insisted on ';fixing'; it that it went bad.

For a TRUE buzz cut, don't use a #anything. Just use the clippers and actually shave your head. This is really ONLY haircut you can do correctly on yourself. My barber is my sister-in-law. She charges a few hours of keeping the kids out of her hair.

That's funny. I just gave myself a hair cut today for the same reason, paying $15-20 for a haircut is rediculous when I get a 2 on the sides and finger tip, maybe a 3 on the top... It was easy. The hard part was the detailing, around the ears and the neck, it's hard to guide your hand in the mirror

If you have a spouse, cutting hair is easy. I'll start with the clippers and the #1 or #2 guard and shave my entire head. well, having given myself haircuts occasionally, i can say first hand doing it decently is very difficult. The front might be a little easy, cause you can look in a mirror, and use both hands, etc. the back, you have to either go by feel (which is usually disaterous) or you need to stand in front of a mirror, holding another mirror, to get a reflection of your relection to see what you're doing.

    using a clipper, which it sounds like you're going to do, is easier, BUT again, for the back you can go by feel, or mirror reflection of mirror reflection. Is it doable? yes, is it doable WELL, er, maybe. if you're really going to do your own, have somebody that can look it over and ';clean it up';
do u live in an area large enough to have a beauty school? they will wash, cut, color, whatever, to your hair for next to nothing (like 5 bucks) because they are learning. look in the phone book for beauty schools or schools of cosmetology.

More details you vist this site
    I wouldn't do it.

if you know a beauty salon graduate personally,

ask them to do it for you. They know what their doing.
dont do it. you will cut it so it messes up and u wont like it.
    dont do it. it'll suck
It's really easy if like u'r brother or friend does it for u! but if u do it... u'll prob mess it up!
